The Path Behind This Work

The work I offer today is shaped by my life.

I have been in recovery for more than 35 years and am dual diagnosed. I have walked through cancer, loss, and serious mental health challenges in people I love. Those experiences are not background. They are the reason this work exists.

I am a certified Mindfulness In Recovery™ facilitator, a NASM Certified Wellness and Nutrition Coach, and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. The training gave me language and structure for what I had already lived. Together they inform everything I offer.

My focus is practical. Helping people develop the awareness, habits, and structure that support a stable, meaningful life. Not perfectly. Consistently.

Testimonials

Real Stories From Our Amazing Clients

I’ve known Dan for over 20 years, and I trust his integrity and follow-through completely. As a clinical therapist, I’m especially attentive to whether someone’s actions align with their stated values, and Dan consistently lives what he believes. When he commits to working with a treatment center or clinical team, he shows up fully and follows through—even when it’s uncomfortable or requires extra effort. I’ve seen him be steady, honest, and accountable over many years, particularly in high-responsibility situations where consistency and trust truly matter. Dan leads with authenticity rather than ego, which allows him to work effectively alongside both staff and clients. I recommend him with full confidence.

Mark Grassinger, LCSW Client

For anyone seeking a coach who is authentic, highly skilled, and deeply invested in their personal well-being and growth, Dan is an exceptional choice."

Joel Whiteside, LPC, BHP, CAMS, CBCC CEO/Founder—Whiteside Healing & Wellness

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my work requires deep listening, emotional presence, and the ability to stay grounded during intense clinical situations. Before working with Dan Tibbits, I often noticed my mind racing between cases, notes, and the next demand of the day. Through regular sessions with Dan—combining guided mindfulness practices with thoughtful reflection—I’ve experienced meaningful changes in both my personal well-being and professional work. Sharper focus during long clinic hours A greater ability to pause and respond rather than react when emotions run high A deeper sense of presence that helps me avoid burnout and show up fully for my patients These shifts have made me a more effective clinician. I’m able to listen more clearly, hold space longer, and bring a greater sense of calm into the room. Dan teaches mindfulness with humility, compassion, and lived understanding. His approach is trauma-informed, practical, and authentic.

Maryn Young, PMHNP Client

At 34 years old, I was declining physically and gaining weight faster than ever. And with three young kids, I knew my health would slip away if I didn’t change. I had the motivation, but no clear path. Dan provided exactly that—clear, practical direction rooted in real expertise. He combined nutrition, exercise, and spiritual balance into a straightforward plan that fit my life. His honesty, flexibility, and genuine care made it easy to stay accountable and grow at my own pace. Thanks to Dan’s vast knowledge, thoughtful guidance, and ability to turn complex wellness principles into simple, sustainable steps, I have lost 21 lbs in six months and completely reshaped my habits and lifestyle. His impact has reached far beyond my physical health—he has helped me become a stronger, more present version of myself for my family and for the life I want to build.
